Early Quilts
My First Quilt (Denise's Quilt)
Initially this quilt did not have a name. A few years ago I gave it to my sister-in-law, Denise and named it after her. She has always loved this quilt and it now hangs in her house. Denise took a photo of me in front of the quilt and wrote me the most wonderful thank you note that I have ever received.

My Second Quilt (no name)
I have always loved Amish quilts and thought that I would make one. This is the quilt that I learned to hand quilt feathers on. Feathers are still a favorite of mine. This quilt hangs with a wiggle, points are cut off and seams do not match perfectly. The quilt police would have quite a time looking at this one!

My Third Quilt (Midnight Stars)
I still love this quilt and I get to see it every day because it hangs on the wall in our family room. I love how the colors contrast with the black. Also I love the 4 shades of gray that are used for the smaller stars. I did not come up with this idea on my own. I found it in a quilt book. It was so long ago I don't even know what book it came out of.
I really enjoyed doing the cables and feathers that are quilted in the border. Unfortunately when I started quilting this quilt I was 40 years old and had to buy reading glasses to do the black on black quilting!
